WORKSHOPS! YAY!

Hey guys and girls,

So, we are very lucky to have someone from RE-Theatre able to come do a workshop with us. They specialize in taking restoration plays and revitalizing them with new ideas, seeing them from a new perspective. This workshop is going to be happening most likely next Saturday, the 7th, and we're going to need EVERYONE to come. It shouldn't be take up too much of your day, so you'll still be able to come to the work party afterwards!!!! I need to know what you folks would prefer, morning of afternoon, and we'll try to accommodate. So let me know and I'll see ALL OF YOU tomorrow for the vocal workshop (only for the first half hour of rehearsal.)

PERFORMANCE DATES

Please, ASAP, let me know if you have a preference for which days your cast is going. This really only applies to the girls, so boys, you get every night no matter what! :)

The show will start on whichever cast and then switch off every day. Right now we have one person who would prefer the Modern Cast to start it off, let me know ASAP if you have any real concerns or Jim and I will make an executive decision without you.

DID YOU KNOW?

HEADSHOTS-Natalie needs head shots from all of you ASAP. If you don't email her a headshot at nataliefloss@gmail.com, you will be using the rather boring pictures we will take at rehearsal, so EMAIL HER!!!! (you should all have an email from her with more details about this too.)

Just a couple notes-
If you have a line after someone's where it says "blah blah blah..." make sure you cut them off a BEFORE they actually finish their line. Start in on your line a word or two before they're finished to make this more realistic.

If you have any lines that you are saying and you're facing away from the audience or to either side, make sure you project doubly as loud because your voice is now bouncing off walls not into the audience.

     MEMORIZE. MEMORIZE MEMORIZE MEMORIZE. MEMORIZE.

LOOK OVER BLOCKING. LOOK OVER BLOCKING LOOK OVER BLOCKING LOOK OVER BLOCKING. If you have questions about your blocking, come ask me. Or your counterpart (for le girls) or Jazzi or Moses. Make sure you know your blocking BEFORE we start rehearsing the act.

Thanks everyone, see you all tomorrow!

COMMENTS

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd let you know, you do not need to try to post your comment multiple times. I repeat, you do NOT need to continue to repost comments until they show up. One of us has to log on and check the little box that says "Publish" in order for all of you folks to see your comments, so if it's not up there seconds after you push okay don't worry, check back the next day or so, and it should be up, if it's not by then, you might want to try again.

Thanks dudes!!!!!!

REMEMBER!

Hey Cast!!!!

Just a few reminders-

Memorize Memorize Memorize- The deadline to be off book for Acts 1 and 2 is January 25th, Please make sure you're off book by then! We can't work on physicalizing and fine tuning the play until you all have scripts out of your hands and words in your heads!

SECRET PALS-I've seen a couple of secret pal gifts make their way into our rehearsals, make sure you get your secret pal something, even if it is a little thing. If you're having trouble finding ways to give something to your secret pal try using your buddies in the play or Jim or myself. If you haven't gotten anything from your secret pal and are feeling a little neglected let me know and I will give them a little talking-to.

Questions? Comments? All sorts of wonderful words you want to use? Let me know.

THE WONDERS OF THE TECH WORLD

Hello all!

Sorry it's been a while since we last spoke.

First of all, thanks to the few of you that did come to last Saturday's Work Party, I hope to see more of you this Saturday, I know it's the weekend before finals, but we have work to do, and we need your help to do it!

Here is more of an outline of when you will need to start coming in seriously.

Lights-
You will need to start coming in 2 nights a week starting the first week of February, as soon as I know which nights for sure I will let you know.

Props-
I have a list of all the props we need in the show (so far), come to the auditorium during/after flex any of these days and I should be there, or I can e-mail them to you if that's easier. Most of the props will probably be hidden somewhere in our Prop Room, and you two will need to find them. If there's anything we don't have, we need to know asap so we can ask cast/crew if anyone has anything they can lend us, or so one of you can buy it. Basically this is whenever/as soon as you guys can. We're in rehearsal everyday from 3.30-6.30 after school, and you know about Work Parties.

Costumes-
Every Saturday (like everyone else!) I know you worked on pulling costumes last weekend, there will probably be a little more of that this weekend too. I need to talk to our costume designer a little more before I can give you more details, I'll do that asap.

House Manager-
For now just coming and helping out at the Work Parties, your job comes into focus more during the actual run of the show, I'll explain more when that gets closer.

Run Crew-
For now just come and help out at the work parties, when we get more things built and I can figure out how much will have to be done each night before the show I'll let you guys know.

Techie Extrordinaire-
Come on Saturdays and help out. If there's more I'll let you know.

EVERYONE-
Come on Saturday to Work Parties!!!!!! Let me know if you have any questions. If you want schedules printed out let me know and I'll do that for you. See you soon!
