The show will start on whichever cast and then switch off every day. Right now we have one person who would prefer the Modern Cast to start it off, let me know ASAP if you have any real concerns or Jim and I will make an executive decision without you.

I personally think that it makes much more sense for restoration to open. I don't know, the prospect of such an old and classical piece of theater being performed with Ikea furniture and modern costumes on opening night seems really odd to me. Opening night sets the tone for the entire run of the show, and the restoration cast is performing it in the manner which it was written to be performed. So, I guess I just think it makes more sense.
ReplyDeleteBut then again, I can't tell if this is logic talking, or my modern cast bias. Honestly, it's probably both.
Still, the more I think about it, the more I believe it makes more sense that restoration cast opens the show. But if I'm out-ruled, so be it. I'm cool with anything, really.
